After taking time out from practicing art full time, I thought the KRF: Artist Notebook Project would be a great way to reintroduce myself to some sort of creative process. The appeal being that I wouldn’t experience the pressure of making a finished piece. I have to admit I struggled at first and only towards the deadline for submission did I make anything I valued. Sending off such a limited sketchbook for exhibition was daunting. It made me regret procrastinating so much at the beginning, but I have taken this sense of regret as a positive, as it has since encouraged me to continue making art.
