My name is Brendan Ahearne, I’m a retired plumber, author and sometime poet and artist. Last year I submitted my project which seem to some like a piece of nonsense.  Last year my wife Siobhan submitted hers and when I attended the Exhibition I was very impressed because people were free to express themselves through these notebooks.  So I sat down and started mine last year with only days to go.  Running through the book is an imaginary guy called Doctor Quill ( no reference to anyone dead or alive is intended). So I used him to help me in my expressions and doodlings and pieces of extreme nonsense. I also stuck in a cheque which is real, the company I worked for went down the drain and there are some references to my cat Divine.  Hopefully the notebook will make people laugh and take their minds off this drab colourless world we live in.
