I got involved with this project as it seemed a good way to work through some ideas that I had at the time. Trees were the overriding theme in this notebook. I was working on a commission that involved a tree and it got me thinking about trees and how important they are in our lives and how each one has its own story. I also had a strong interest in trees in general as I had just completed a course in horticulture the previous year. In the notebook I used a lot of collage, mixed media and drawing.
