"This book is an homage to Tibet. I was in Kildare in 2011 when HH the Dalai Lama visited, I met him as he walked into the event, where he thanked me for displaying the Tibetan flag. It was a profoundly moving experience, as of course, he is the one to thank. He was welcomed to Kildare by the St. Brigid's flame. The flame symbolises light, hope and truth. At the same time, there has been a tragic wave of self-immolations by Tibetans in Tibet and elsewhere as a desperate response to the terrible oppression by China. This book acknowledges both sides of fire and sends a hope for justice, truth, love and peace to prevail. Free Tibet!"
