I am at present in my final year at GMIT studying for a B.A. in Fine Art. My work alternates between figurative, landscape and expressionistic still life, all of which I enjoy observing and painting. These genres enable spontaneity and diversity in my work. My notebook was based on reflection and how memories are what you cohere to. The notebook took me on a childhood journey and at the end of it I had an appreciation of the comfort and cushioning I have been privy to. However, it’s not just immediate family that write your chapters, its extended family, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbours and friends that form your childhood. It is that warmth that carries me onwards, so I look forward to the next chapter.
