As a challenge to write something each day, I took on the Artist Notebook Project. I bought two notebooks, so I’d have a copy for posterity for myself !

So, from 16th March, 2011 to 24th April, I entered something each day- either in my bad handwriting or typed and pasted. In it I included some knitting, crochet, material, feathers, dried flowers and many of my photographs, either taken during the period or relevant to what I recorded. Some of my silly poems were also included.

The period covered from St. Patrick’s Day to the conclusion on Easter Sunday, which included the preparations in Moneygall for the visit of President Obama and which I subsequently made a prize winning audio visual, called Is Feidir Linn, which has been shown in Ireland, England and South Africa!

My notebook included personal memories, television programmes watched, visits made, observations etc.

So, that I’d recognise my book when on display, I knitted a small toy artist together with palate and paintbrush!

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am delighted to have a copy of my own to remind me of the experience.
